Ingredients
  • 3 lbs beef or chicken bones
  • 3 carrots roughly chopped
  • 3 celery stalks roughly chopped
  • 1 onion roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sea salt to taste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (omit if AIP)
  • water (enough to cover bones)
Directions
  • Step 1 TIP: Save bones from your pasture-raised animal protein meals in a large zip lock in the freezer. Once the bag is filled up, you have enough for another batch of broth.
  • Step 2 1. Place bones at the bottom of your crock pot.
  • Step 3 2. Chop your carrots, celery, onion
  • Step 4 add into crock pot with whole garlic cloves.
  • Step 5 3. Add ACV, sea salt, turmeric, pepper.
  • Step 6 4. Add enough water to slightly cover the bones and veggies.
  • Step 7 5. Cover and cook on low for 18 – 24 hours.
  • Step 8 6. Strain the broth and store in tightly sealed containers. I use large mason jars.
  • Step 9 If there is a layer of fat risen to the top, you can discard this fat if you desire. I use it all, cause I love all the FAT.
