10 Minute Instant Pot Shredded Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 cup beef or chicken bone broth
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 3-4 chicken breasts (boneless & skinless)
Directions
  • Step 1 1. Place broth, salt, pepper and oregano into the Instant Pot inner pot. Stir.
  • Step 2 2. Add the chicken breasts and put the lid on.
  • Step 3 3. Turn valve to sealing, and select Manual (or Pressure Cook), high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4 4. Once the cook time is over, turn the Instant Pot off and let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
  • Step 5 5. Carefully open the lid. Shred the chicken breasts with tongs in the pot. You may pour the chicken and broth into a strainer, or you can use your tongs to remove the chicken from the pot to a container and then discard the remaining broth.
  • Step 6 6. To freeze, let cool to room temperature before placing in freezer bags.
